thanks for the post, if there is any questions or anything thing that you think might help the price let me know. is 5,500 to 6 out of the question?? for a clean machine like this.?

Caboose

i was gonna say 5-6, also the price of trucks varies depending on where your located.  here in central cali trucks go for a lot more then other places.  and toyotas are a dime a dozen in northern cal and get harder to find the more south you go.

Some more things are to consider are the rust coming through the paint, not a huge deal but makes people wonder whats under that shiny new coat of paint.

And it looks like you have a lot of custom work done.  If people like the diamond plate it will be worth more, if people like the factory look, it will be worth way less.

Someone correct me if im wrong here.  The way i see it,the reason there isnt a KBB for off road/modified vehicles is because the value of the truck depends on what a buyer is willing to pay.

Posting what you have in the truck would get a better sresponse too.  im assuming with all this work its locked in the rear, maybe front too, 5.29s, idk how many miles are on the motor or tranny, its a single case, is it stock or 4.70s?, ... the list goes on.

In California the truck could potentially only got for 3k if it wouldn't pass smog, because then it would only be good for parts.

Sweet truck and awesome pics. I hope you dont sell it but if you do it looks like the buyer will have a great head start for their rig.  Please someone chime in here if im wrong, but this is what my experience has taught me.

Thanks for the response caboose. yea i could see why location matters. I'm in east Texas and this is the only truck in this town worth a hoot thats an older model toyota. I thought for the most part the pics could tell the stories. about whats on it and what been done mod wise, except for the internals like you said. everything really is about stock drive train wise. the motor is newer like i said above the pictures, stock gears, nothing locked or welded. the truck has never been wheeled. the tires are 33's 15' wheels. nothing crazy its my only vechicle and i was hoping to get a decent amount to help with a down payment on something new to be honest.

Im sure you could get 4500 to 5 for it. I just bought a clean efi toyota nice interior&body, no major mods, lifted on 33s as well for 3500, although I am in nor cal where we have alot of toyotas like caboose said. My truck is extremely clean, and it still doesnt look as nice as your yota(Nor have all those mods). But 4500-5k would probably be pretty appropriate. Some guys jack the price on something like that up to 5-6k and they just end up hanging on to their trucks forever, so if you do wanna sell it thats a good price range.

i could not give my old runner away for $7000 i live in nor cal. Geared locked f&r dules and 4.7s 40s ext... its a clean looking truck but its all about how much the buyer wants to pay  :twocents:

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

well you have to sell it as offroad only.  its propane. you cant run that on the street legally.(at least in california)  also that warranty for the motor was moot as soon as you ran propane through it. :)  Id say 5k min for the rig tho, looks very nice.

Slolyfe

I'd say with that set up 75 dollars but I'll give you 100 cash right now!  Hahaha

Nice rig. I'd say 4 to 5K if it smogged 3K if it didn't. Just another california guys opinion.

here in texas i've ran it on this propane for over a year on the streets and never had a problem with it and i've had my fair share of traffic stops to go along with it and its always been a conversation starter for some reason. ha

ive seen alot of trucks running propane in texas, always weird to me as i am a cali guy and no propane here, but i see them guys pulling into the station and flipping down there rear license plate to filll propane.  anyways,  nice clean truck for its age. id set 4.5-6  yeah its a rough estimate... but IVE BEEN EVERYWHERE MAN, lol, seen too many trucks with too many prices...
im looking at an ALL THERE 85 pickup for 500 bucks, but its taken apart, and wont pass cali smog with its weber carb setup. but, just the same, ive got a diesel motor ready to bolt in. so buy it, throw the diesel in it, register it with the diesel. anyways, too many variables. dont know bout texas prices at all.  here in cali, if you throw a proper carb on it and smog it.... 5grand wouldnt be too much to ask

that is a cleeeeaaaan rig. did u build it like that or shop built? that might help determine how much value it holds to you. u got receipts for everything? i cant believe its never been crawled. BADASS!!
1st gen yota truck. 37x12.5x15. 5spd dual cases, chevy springs in rear, toyota rears springs in front. Long bed....the list never ends..
Dont try to shift into 6th when u've only got a 5spd! Rubberside down doesnt always mean rite side up!

84t0y

nor call opinion here, as its not street legal in cali and its really not ste up for anything but light trails id say around 3k-3.5k. also the rust in the bed make me think that it wasnt prepped for paint real good, the under side looks real nice too, except that i could have mine look the same with a couple cans of paint. im not trying to rip it apart but around here i cant see it getting anywhere near 6k.

BoG-ToY

sorry but i gotta ask, he doesnt say it was repainted... the toyota sticker on the back looks pretty good....   if its just really well taken care of factory paint then thats not that bad for the rust to be coming through. and too many cali guys here... cali guys, you cant kill the propane, its an awesome upgrade, so consider it as smog legal when giving your prices becuase for him.. it is smog legal in his state.  6k might be a little much... but i wouldnt see 4k being overpriced either

Thanks billybob for not bashing me

All The work was done by me and a friend over a few years except the engine swap.

I Finally got the truck back together and cleaned up new fluids all the way around, waxed and detailed new registration and plates. I'm putting her up tomorrow for $5,995 with a little room to budge. well see what happens. Thanks for all the input and advice people.

worst case scenerio,  sit on it for a week or two at that price.
make sure you drive it around with the for sale sign on it... and go to different places. sometimes it takes the right person seeing it.
that guy who commutes every day to work... same route every day, might be dying for that truck.... but if he doesnt see it... well then you might end up selling it to the guy who thinks its "alright" and wants to give you 2/3s your asking price.

anyways, goodluck
