auto tranny?

so im building a 95 4runner and i was wondering if the 4cyl and v6 auto tranny is the same?

nope they are different.
4cyl is probably a 340H and the v6 should be a340F

any 4x4 auto equiped pickup with manula hubs has the a340f..if its auto hubs its the a340H
newr taco and equivlent 4runner and i belive tundras are also a340f but with slight differences

btw,my 92 p/u had a 22re/a340f ..removable tailshaft and transfercase

Yep, not true about the manual hubs trucks being 340F's.. Never seen a 89-95 4cyl auto 4wd. Please post pics.

Too bad, I'm tossing a 86 auto once I rob the oil pan, front pump and input shaft out of it to put in an AW4 for my truck....
