Just go back to radio shack and get a mic.  And don't go any higher than a 3 amp fuse.  That's what is in my TRC-427 cb.

Crap by the time you get this all done, you could have bought a new Uniden, K40 ant., wire, and mount for what your gonna have into patching this together.

Haha, very true BUT I still couldn't afford it  . I think I'm out $30 so far. And Radio Shack says they don't stock my model any more and they would have to order a mic. I don't want to deal with them any more. I can't remember the place but I'm told there is a good place in Fremont or Hayward. I'm hoping they can diagnose my Cb issue.  :dunno:

You must be talking about Clyde's Corner in San Leandro near Bayfair Mall. They're on E14th st.

PS. What is the closest Cb shop that will carry a mic? What should it cost?

i think i have a mic with that style plug if you want to wait i can send it to you for teh cost of shipping. i had a cheap RS CB in my truck for awhile and i couldnt send out a signal. got clear incoming stuff, but no outgoing and tried swapping out for a diff mic so as far as i know its good. PM me if you want it

You don't have a mic?  ???

THere is the sound problem solved...No mic = no sound..  The audio circit runs thru the mic on those radios..
As for getting a mic you will have to buy one and have a end wired on to it for your radio.. I don't think you will find alot of mic's with a 5 pin din plug on them.

Is mine a 5 or a 4? Does the center hole count?
