E-Brake

I need to know what i can do to get my ebrake to actually hold, should i convert to a landcruiser? or wut

drive line E-brake for 195  :thumbs:

well your stock E-brake should hold even with the oversized tires. check that
#1 your rear brakes are in proper adjment.

#2 your E-brake cable is not lose.

#3 your back brakes have any "meat" left and that there not covered in oil or brake fluid.

#4 keep a brick with ya at all times!  :smack:

a properley working e-brake on your truck should work fine.

check out the thing Brainless mentioned.

another thing i have had problems with is the auto adjusters.  they never work right.  i even went as far as buying replacement parts from the dealer in efforts to get them to "auto adjust",  i tried to do the "drive in reverse and stomp on the brakes" method to get them to adjust but it just didn't work for me. 

i finally gave up and just added, adjusting the rear brakes, in my normal maintenace routine.

usally two clicks every 6 monthes for my driving.

1985 4runner on 35 boggers.  22re, W56 tranny, daul cases with 4:1 in the back case, ford f150 fronts with 63" chevys in the back, cross over steering, full width chevy axles with detroit back and ARB front,

get a rear disc conversion with a good ebrake check it out at www.sky-manufacturing.com
