Thinking about moving to the Fresno/Madera area and need some help

as many of you know my son has cancer and is going to the Doctors at the Childrens hospital in Madera. The wife and I were discussing today about moving to the area temporarily, so we can be close to the hospital for his weekly visits and in case of emergencies.
Where in the area is it safe and also good prices on apartments/condos?

my daughter goes to the same hospital for her back she is 17 and has the back of a 39 yr old man Pm slobbermouth he lives close to there and so is Fresno Pm big mike and see if he has any recomendations, good luck

Its not that boring, i live here, ben here my whole life, near woodward park area is nice, little pricy to live in north fresno, which is 5 mins from childrens hospital, awesome trails above shaver lake, lots or mountain biking, i vote move to fresno, not madera

try bullard and 41 area its safe 10 minutes from hospital and still not too pricey

If you've got a travel trailer or RV, (or access to one) Valley Children's has longterm parking on site for families in your situation. You might look into that.....

yeah, we have been pondering that idea, but this will be for awhile, he will be in and out for the rest of his life.

I had some freinds that lived in the Bullard & 41 area apartments (this was a while go so maybe its changed) but it was loaded with college students and very loud.  I cant remember the name of the apartments.  My opinion is do not move to Madera, my sister in law moved to Madera from the bay area and has regretted it ever since and now she can't sell her house.

Move to Fresno stay somewhere off of hwy 41.  There are some apartments that were really nice when my wife and were looking a few years back.  They are off of Audubon & Hwy 41.  They were a little pricey but very nice and in a good part of town.

some of my family members live in madera and they dont like it....I said the neiborhood is boring cause is really quiet, not because Fresno is boring and there is nothing to do....

Fresno is not a bad place to live but there are deiffinatly better places to live.  But Aaronb if you stay off of Hwy 41 and in the north end of town you will be just fine.

I lived in Northeast Fresno for 2 years and it was great.....the 41 is super close and the hospital is like 5 minutes away. We lived off champlain and perrin and it was a nice safe area to say the least. Even off north cedar is nice and still close. I would stay more north east if you can
