How about this one?  Ive done the same thing to one with a 22r and it worked out good.  On a re youd have to tap into the air box and mount the snorkel to the driverside fender.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

I did basically the same thing as shown in 88runner's post. The fender helps keep water from the air intake tube and is higher than the stock location. I set the intake at the back of the fender as high as I could put it. I also used a small piece of heavy window screen over the mouth of the tube.

I think for mine im just gonna run it like the PVC, but use that underground black hard plastic stuff, dunno what it is  :hammer: but i might just drill a hole in the side of the fender and make it exit there, with like a shower drain type thing or just some heavy duty mesh to cover it, that way it gets cold air, or i might just leave it inside the fender, dunno :dunno:

cut the flare off of the 90* and weld it to a plate.  Cut some slots and use a band clamp for inside the fender.

fin  I'm really happy with this setup, because it allows me to switch between snorkel and open air in engine compartment in under five minutes. The only change I'm making so far is a switch to bent thick-wall alum. piping in place of the ghetto-vac!

Can u post some close ups of the hole in the fender? also where are those holes inside ure truck?? and is that one clamp for the intake at the mass 02 sensor? And ure actual tubing is just 3" piping? Thanx alot for the help, im planning on making myself one

The hole in the fender was cut with a 3 1/8" hole saw and a big half round file...file and fit, file and fit etc.  The gasket is rubber car door edge moulding.  I used black silicone around the gasket and the pipe.  Yes the band clamp and slotted bracket is for the inside of the fender in the engine bay.  I put a bunch of silicone on the backing plate of the bracket, pushed the snorkle tubing through tight against the body and put the band clamp on till dry.  I would think that you could put the MAF sensor just about anywhere between the pipe in the engine bay and the intake manifold.  The Rocky didn't have a MAF sensor.  The other holes are in the door pillar at the front windsheild.  I used some one inch plastic hole caps I found at the hardware store.

I don't like the way the lines of the snorkle turned out but I cut it all apart once and welded it all back together.  There are eight welds in it now.  I do like the way it hugs the body.  If you do this you might have someone help you as it is hard holding the pipe at the right angle and tack welding.

I am having a 3RZfe installed and the intake is on the oposite side...haven't figured how I will tie it into the snorkle yet.

Bazzi,

Me mate in Oz sent that to me.  He bought it at an ARB store for $35.00 US.  I think that if you contact ARB or Safari and let them know what you want they should be able to help you.  Geez all this time I have been spelling snorkel wrong :_oops:

By the way, I really like toyhatsu's design, it is much cleaner and more "finished" than mine, by a long shot. Mine works GREAT and I'm happy with it, but it's not what you'd call a smooth design from a looks point and the flexible piping is a weak point.
I love toyhatsu's rig. Never thought I'd say that about a rig with an angry sneeze name, but it is tre' cool!

Ha, an angry sneeze...I like that.  That's much better than what most people say about it which I can't write here because of the obscenities.
