Would this mess up a welder?

If a dumbass I know has been running my welder in mig mode, then runs out of wire and replaces it with flux core and doesn't switch the polarity could this mess up anything physically with the welder.  Stupid noob fabbers.

Won't mess up the welder, but the welds with the reverse polarity are crap.............

Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

no dude, you dont have anything to worry about...

the only thing that will happen is a :pokinit: ton of spatter if you try to weld any FCAW in reverse
