going auto...
« on: May 10, 2009, 08:30:17 AM »
i just recently purchased an 87 sami for my wife and she says she would prefer to have an automatic. can i do this with the stock 1.3? or is the only way to go with the 1.6 sidekick and use a sidekick tranny? sorry i am new to the sami stuff.

the sidekick 1.6 would be the best option,  more ponies so by the time you go thru the auto you'll have as much hp as the 1.3 had with the stick

I agree with Glen, you can use the the 1.3 but you'll get more bang for the buck with the 1.6, and if you are really lucky you may even find the rare FI 1.6.
