i did a compression check on my 85 22r converted to re motor just to see what the numbers are.  i warmed it up first, then pulled all the plugs out and checked each one at wot.  all cylinders came out around 155 psi +or-  2 lbs.  is this about normal for a rebuilt motor with about 50k on it?  seems kinda low to me.  anyone have #'s of their motor?

cool, thanks for the info.  i just remember doing a compression check on the motor about 2-3k after the motor was rebuilt and it was aroun 185.  i was expecting it to be up around that.  but according to the manual, i'm good.  is there anything easy to do to get the compression pushed back up a bit(head gasket, valves, etc) that is worth the trouble?

what is wrong with where it is at?

nothing you can do without reaing the engine apart.....

you can deck the head and block, install oversized pistons, etc

its good where it is, i was just curious what it was supposed to be at if it was getting to the point to where i should start thinking about rebuilding it or not.  i guess i'll be good to go for a while longer.
