Lowest gear ratio 3.42?
« on: May 02, 2009, 07:13:12 PM »
Hello,

I am wondering if there is such thing as a 3.42 rear gear ratio that came in a v6/turbo model?

did the 95+  tacoma 4x2 4 cylinder come with a 7.5" or 8" differential?

Essentially I am looking for a 8" LHP (V6/turbo) gear/pinion set with a gear ratio as CLOSE as possible to 3.1x-3.2x... after reading many sites I am thinking a 4runner might have come with a 3.42.

How hard will it be finding a 3.42 gear and pinion?

they came with 3.7x (5sp) and 3.9x (Auto)

It is going to be used to get the rear end closer to 3.1x - 3.2x to mate with a v160
