Hi everyone, I'm "Arthur" here in Colorado. I live in the foothils three miles back on a somewhat rough dirt road, Been using Totota's since 1980 and have always had good luck. I found this group accidently and it seems to be a very good group. I have some questions about a "95" 4 Runner I just bought. This may not be the proper place to ask, But here goes. My question involves the front differential and axles. There is quite a bit of play on the passenger (short) side where the axle enters into the differential. Will simply changing the drive shaft fix this? Or, is there a bearing (and seal) in the differential that need replacing? I ask this because it seems like the housing out of that side has a lot of play right where it comes out. The other side "with the longer tube" seems fine. Thanks for any advice! Arthur

You might have a bearing and/or seal out... or you might have stripped your spline on ure inner axle, what u need to do is take it apart, take pictures as you do it, and then post it in the Engine/Drivetrain/Suspension part of this forum, and we will be able to tell ya whats wrong and welcome also
