what exactly is axel wrap and how do i fix it

hi i have an 1983 f-250 that i was gonna do a block 3inch lift on and a few people have told me that with the size of my motor and the power i would have a lot of axel wrap and i dont know what it will do to my axel or how bad it is i need some help thanx
