Allways locked to manual locking hubs

I have a 79 gmc jimmy and im tired of them always locked hubs, plus once a get a locker(no money for arb)  dont want to be bustin stuff on corners and what not. i need to get some manual locking hubs and i was wondering if anyone has done this switch before and if they have any pointers let me know.

just buy some d44 locking hubs & install them. superwinch are good all metal hubs, available at pep boys. np203 transfer case could be upgraded with a part time 4x4 kit or use np205 all gear transfer case for ultimate strength. twin stick the 205 for front digs.
