Is Nick O.K.? I saw a guy on a quad hit a tree at 40 or 50 at the clean up. The guy was not O.K.

Yeah Toyotas are pretty darn strong.

I was just checking around the net and check this comparo out - The Tundra was rated excellent while the Ford was rated "poorly"

Sorry Ford lovers!

You had better have WT check that frame for you before putting another body on it.
Just a thought.

I'm a little bruised up, but lucky to be alive.  The damage is the cab, both front fenders, bed, radiator support, passenger door, and hood.  I got the OK from my autobody teacher to bring my truck in and fix it.  I plan on cutting the top of the cab off and swappin it out.  Then doing a flat bed, buying two new fenders and repairing the rad. support.  Might have to be some grill pieces too.  As soon as I get it to school I will take some pictures of it and get them up here on the flop thread so stay tuned.  Oh and I am going to put a cage in my truck before I drive it again.

Try the place in Mount Vernon for fenders. They advertise in the Little Nickel.

The red truck in my avatar is the one I rolled.  It was unique in that is was still in good shape, but now it's gonna be like the rest of them.  Army green, tube bed, cage.

I know, it was soo nice.  After I rolled it I got out and I was just like what have I done.  I lost everything I had.  I liked it because it wasn't hammered like the rest of them are.  I am going to get it tomorrow and I'll be driving it on the 70mph freeway with no front or rear glass and no drivers side door.  I'll keep ya guys posted.

Yotas in the 80's do not take rolls well. Myt buddy put his 80 on its roof at about 3mph slow roll.

He stuffed a tire into a root on a climb and the splines on the rag joint stripped and the shaft  pull off.   ??? He stalled the motor when it happend. WHen he hit the clutch to restart it rolled back. No steering so the wheels went full lock and over it went. Where he stuffed the tire and where it ended up was all of 20ft.

ehehe We had to high lift the roof so he could drive it out. He ran the rest of the day and one of our buddes put it on a trailer for the ride home. He drove their trial rig home.
2 weeks later a buddy found a 81 2wd with a blown motor and toast bed. Cab was in good shape. $50 for the truck. We did a cab swap on it and had it back on the road pretty quick. That was a couple years back.

I just gave that guy a 84 Runner about a month before his second son was born 4 months ago. He needed something with a back seat.  Deal was he gets the body and frame. I get the running gear included axles back for my SAS on my 86 and Marlin. The frame is rusting out on the 80 so the drive train will end up in the 4Runner. It will live on some more.
