Dude dont want to step on your flowers but CATCO isnt all that great...Fire Im getting custom piping done in a shop here and he will do it for about 200 or so....all you would need is a heade,r cat, and a cherry bomb muffler ant thats the cheapest way to go :twocents:

I was definately thinking thorley headers, but why no cat swamper? is that legal or wut? and then a flowmaster or gibson exaust with 2"+  piping

If you ever have to do a smog check, you'll need a cat on the truck.
don't know what you need in tex. but here in Kalif. you'd better have one on.
if the cops find you don't  :shake_head: :conf: :o
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

by your numbers, you're gonna buy a header (wash) a cat (wash) and instead of paying $230 for the cat-back, you're gonna pay some guy to put in $200 of pipe and you're gonna suppy the $20 cherry bomb?
thanks, I'll pass. ;)

what's better than catco? it's the only brand I know of in the limited research Iv'e done..

go with the thorley header. then go to ebay and buy the highflow cat from magnaflow and a 40's seriies flowmaster. take to and exhaust shop and i wouldnt pay more than $150 to have them bend and install pipe. that setup will be killer. i reccomend a cat. i dont have one now and cant wait to buy a header so i can put my highflow in

Sorry I dint fully esplain myself he is actually charging me 400 but that includes custom piping, magna flow cat and a 250 dollar muffler (yes pricey but hopefully worth it  ;) ) so the piping should be like what...100 bucks  :dunno:

Who?  :dunno: ....If you meant me I dont have an aftermarket exhaust...I have custom piping but factory cat and muffler...the only reason I had to get new piping was because I broke it offroading but I dint have the job I have now so I coulnt afford a new cat and muffler

Go with a Thorley or LC Header.  I have a LC header, to a magnaflow high flow cat, to a flowmaster 40 series muffler and it is all 2.25" from the header back.  I would reccomend doing this setup, just like 86 said but instead of an LC you could do a Thorley if $$ is an issue.  I love my header, and my whole exhaust setup.
in the projects nooga, anything goes

Thats what im planning on doing, is that exact setup right dur!! is thorley or LC better? moneys not really an issue, i dont have any right now so saving is in order, and so i just gotta save as much money as i can to get them, right now its just research and then later its actually getting the stuff... but i dont want a loud setup, is yours loud TTF?
