I'm going to be making some sealed boxes for some woofers under my trucks seats...

Poly fill (pilling stuffing) can increase the apparent size of the box.  (boxes are really to small, but don't have the space for a proper sized box)

The question is (which I can seem to find an answer to) is how much polyfill?

Say you have 500 cuin of box space.    Do you put in 500 cuin of loose polyfill, 1000 cuin stuffed into 500; 1500,.........

thanks

I don't have a precise answer, but years ago when I was building speakers, we packed it so that it was somewhat loose, but full. don't want to too full, as it will restrict the movement of the speaker, and too loose, will just bunch up on one side and be useless. We also used cardboard egg cartons, the foam mattress stuff with the dimples which worked pretty well. Problem is the stuff eventually deteriorates and falls apart.
