Thats not good!  :shake_head:

Look at the exhaust ports. They all the same color?

I had a injector lean on my 89 Supra and it burned the valves. Once the exhaust manifold was off you could tell big time that cylinder was lean by the color. I put that motor in. it was a Japan motor and I had to reuse the US FI to make it smog. I didn't even open the old motor or pay any attention to it. Thought the PO just had a BHG and drove it with no coolant. Well come to find out #2 piston had holes burned in it. The Injector was bad and running the  cylinder lean.   :headshake:

Bottom line is have the injectors flow checked when you put it back together to make sure it wasn't a lean out problem.

Hey Glen, I dont know how far you are from Fresno, CA 93703, but Marlin has numerous running 22R and two that are complete and just pulled from trucks, including the one that was pulled out of my Project vehicle. The whole back side of our building is lined with 22Rs sitting on the ground waiting for a good home. You should try to contact Marlin and see what he wants. We can sale you just a short block so you can just throw your goodies straight on it and call it good.

And then you will have your truck back, and while your driving that around, if you wanted to, you could get some performance pistons and rebuild the engine block and heads from the :rivers: blown :( engine and get it ready to be built up strong..

you could always forward air that block for a decent price
all in a big plastic container setting on a skid tied down

and have what you need to get you going
too much spent to go slow
too much spent to stay low
too much spent on the go
but it's fun you know
