I have heard of installing resistors in place of the 3 solenoids that are in the trans.I have a FSM at my shop that would give the proper ohms resistance of a working solenoid.Next go to Radio Shack and install the resistor in line with the auto wiring and the computer would be fooled.I have never done this, but it does work.
The wiring harnesses won't match. Auto and manuals use different plugs, so you'd have to get the wiring harness to go with the manual ECU.
I appreciate it very much....Ive heard that from multiple people as well...When i start my swap would it be okay if i ask you for help if i get stuck...Thanks-Mike
Thank you...Im hoping to pick up this motor this weekend. MY 3.0 is acting up.
Yup...We have a 99 4runner at the house and it hauls compared to mine. I cannot wait.
