Hey - What's up with all these NITTO and TOYO tires? Anybody have any other info on them other than the fact that their models look all sexy and stuff? Anyone running them? Are they any good, durability? etc? Also, poision spider customs has them in their ads, and I think that AOR sells TOYO too, so what is the take on these things, are they comparable to the tires we normally run , like swampers, bfgs, mtrs, etc. Tell me what ya'll think.

their models sure are pretty.

i thought i saw a pair of 35" toyo's for 250...could be wrong. that's way too much. don't know much about them either.

a question for you...will yer rig be seeing lots of road time. do you 'wheel mostly mud, rocks, sand, snow.

the mtr seems to be an awesome all around tire. i haven't seen them perform in mud though.
i run 35" bfg all-terrains on the street and change to swamper sx 35"x15.5" when i head for the trail.

I personally don't like the nittos or the toyos...They specialize in asphalt tires, and with our sport of offroad growing more and more everyday, every manufactorer wants to get a little taste...Wich is why nitto outfitted all the poison spyder rigs with their tires. They want to get their name out there, and what better way to do it than to put them on the vehicles of a well known fab shop like PS....Trust me,I doubt it's by choice that Cliffton Slay of Poison Spyder is runnig nittos with 20 wheels on his competition rigs.

Yeah I actually liked the mudgrapplers but I noticed that the 35" size is for an 18" rim, not a lot of ppl run an 18" for 35's So Im guessing possers....I do like the way the Nittos look though :twocents:

my truck was a daily driver until my motor croaked, replacing it w/ a 22re. I am driving a scout II, the toyota sees a lot of rock, some mud, a little sand as well and asphalt to get there. i run my 35 bfg mt on the street, and my 36 swampers for the rocks. I figured that toyo and nitto wanted a piece of the rock pie, and damn, they are relativly expensive, especially since they are new to our 4x4 scene. They should either stay in the ricer market, or pump a bunch of money in R&D to make some relly good crawling treads, & a lot more hotties. I under stand the $$$ is nice for poisin spider, but come on, don't they have enough?

i think they should put money into research and devolment and make a great product for wheelers...but keeping the price down.

i've been pretty happy with my combonation of street/trail tires...even though it is a little time consuming to change them when there is a 'wheeling adventure planned, i do wheel the local trails with the bfgs(impulse runs). my swampers have alot of enertia...they take alot to get rolling and stopping is sketchy sometimes. i like having the wide tire on the trail.

are you looking for a new set of tires or just ideas for yer next set. are you planning on useing the 2 sets(1 for trail and 1 for street) again.

you do know BFG is owned by the french, right? :smack:

opps, didn't know that. Guess that I will sell the bfg's, stop french kissing, no more french baquets, and am going to remove the french doors in my parents house - not really. But Hurray for bfg, its one of the only french things that I will ever purchase again. - Ryan

May be owned by the French, but 3 of the 4 manufacturing plants are in the US (other one is in Canada)
