tach being difficult

my tach is driving me crazy. sometimes it goes up nice and smooth and sometimes it bounces up. i cant tell really where my rpm's are when it bounces. anyone got any ideas what going on?

had a problem just like that on my tack. If it's missing just a little it would jump. and the thing is even if I could not feel the slite little miss!  :twocents:

Well in my case, I had a fuel filter that was just about full. not enuff to make a noticeabul miss, just leaned it out enuff to make a miss that you would have to have it on a "scope" to see. but the tack knew it was there. as time went on it got to the point that any brainlessfool would know there was truble. and the tack jumped more wildly. after I changed the F/F the jumping tack went away!
so.. you may have a miss that's not bad enuff to feel yet, and it could be afetting your tack.  :twocents:

Well I tried that with a tack once, after that it always said the same thing!?! go figer  :dunno:

Yeah it could either be you F/F, Idler pulley, or....plenim gasket (sp?), or lose tach wire :dunno:

hey swampy,  are those silverstar headlights really worth the money???? been thinking about them but wanted some first hand comments befor i fork the bucks :dunno:

Change your F/F, and Idler Pulley.....their both cheap and not hard to do
