SASing on frame only
« on: Feb 05, 2009, 08:59:26 AM »
I am in the process of removing the cab to my truck"for powder coating!" as well as the engine"Rebuid", trans"Rebuid", t-case"Rebuid" etc... All that is left is the frame. Now is the perfect time for a SAS!. I know the spring hangers are set by location but the shock tower is not. With no weight on the truck, how does one properly place the shock tower? Or is the slight spring compresion due to vehicle weight no important? Let me know what you think!
If you see it, its for sale.

all depends on what you are going to use spring wise
and how far forward your axle is going to be

Weld up the hanger and shackle frame mounts, bolt up springs, bolt up the axle and you'll see where the shock towers need to go  :twocents:
