I have had this 350 sitting in my garage for probably 2 years now.  I haven´t done much to it cause I haven´t been sure I want this engine in my truck or not... mpg and so on.
well.   It looks like I wont have much work in the near comming future so I wanna put some progress to the stuff I have... kinda putt the stuff I have lying around to some use, or to an useable/sellable contitions...

so here are some picks off the engine  (crapp I forgot the camera at the garage and don´t wanna  start this again so no pictures today) ;)

well.. what I know about the engine.
a friend of a friend of a friend was gonna put it into his transam or something. I kinda bought it from him tho I gave my friend some parts and he .... blah well lets just say I bought the engine + auto for 1000$
and I have probably spend anouther 1000$  on parts.

then it has been sitting for anouther year.
The engine is a 350 tbi chevy  and the auto is an 700r4 the auto is supposed to be rebuilt but the guy said that he must have assembled it wrong cause he never got it working when it got to his car... I ditn´t care for that so much... cause I need to completle rebuild it again since I need to change the output gear to adapt to the northwest offroad adapter plate. behind that auto I plan to add a set of toy duals with 4.70 in the rear...

the engine
My first plan was to rebuild the engine but after I opened it I figured just to use it as it sits. then yesterday I figured at least to change the oil pump, then bolt it together and pressure test it (I don´t know what you call it) when I remove the plugs insert an meter and crank the engine....

any way then I just found this http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=1095741&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1
and my engine looks a lot better than this dutes...

but untill I get the camera, I have nothing to show you guys so just sit tight....

either way. the guy cleaned the engine real nice and bolted it back together or that´s how a normal chevy looks like??? any ways I could only find a litle dirt inside the pan and that´s probably there cause when I drained the engine it was tilting a litle... ewerything turns smooth and I can´t find anything iffy... but what do I know I am only and electrician....
