:nerv: Be afraid be very afraid. I used to work for the Forrest Service as a initial attack fire fighter, I was stationed in Forks of the Salmon and I quit after having to use my shake and bake 3 times in one season.  :help:  I worked for them for 4 years until that year we had all kinds of people getting killed.  :shake_head:

In northern california?  And I assume shake n bake is the little blanket for when the fire turns on you?

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

Ya the shake and bake is the little pup tent looking fire shelter that you carry on your belt or red pack strap. And yes that was in Nor Cal I lived north of City of Shasta Lake. Across I5 from the cement plant a few miles back in on a dirt rd.
