some of mine
blew a hole in my radiator (block shot out of my friends truck in front of me and made the hole, hate blocks), take some needle nose pliers, grab each fin and curl it back onto itself to stop the leak.

broke exhaust off on multiple trips just behind the manifold of my old 4runner, rehung it with large zip ties or bailing wire and used duct tape to reseal the exhaust. worked to get me back to town just need alotta tape.

broken ubolts, use a ratchet strap to hold the axle in place, 2 should do it.

blown radiator hoses, use duct tape and zip ties to patch it up.

overheating on the trail, pull the t-stat and use duct tape to seal up the housing if you dont have a gasket or rtv.

window switches in your vehicle dont work to raise/lower your windows, take the wires running to the switch, extend them to the battery terminals. connect one way to raise, reverse to lower (thank you Dave)

broken driveshaft (yall are gonna love this one), realign the driveshaft best as possible and hold together with duct tape (weld if you can, we didnt have any rods). take 4 2x4"s about 24" long or longer if possible and use ratchet straps to hold the 2x4"s around the driveshaft, reinforcement. made the trip back home with that, lots of vibration but it worked.

broken battery tray and nowhere to hold the battery in the engine bay, set battery in the vehicle (or truck bed preffered) and run jumper cables from battery to battery cables.

bent tie rod and no winch to straighten it, use 2 2x4"s (long as possible) and 3 heavy duty ratchet straps. put the boards lengthwise on either side of the tie rod and use the ratchets to straighten the tie rod.

cut brake line. clamp it shut with vice grips and secure the vice grips to the frame, other wheels will work to stop you just takes longer to stop. if you dont have vice grips take a pair of channel locks or slip joint pliers, clamp it shut, then lock the plier handles together with tape/bailing wire/zip ties.

:yesnod: ratchet straps, really large zip ties (3-5ft variety), and duct tape are always in my rig along with my tools/fluids.
