I'd have to disagree that the twin-stick is useless. Not sure about the whole front-dig thing, as I thought that was done by the rear d-shaft disconnect as OOPs was just talking about. The twin stick allows you to disengage the front end, but still have the advantage of the lower gearing. There are times when you don't need 4WD, but the lower gearing is advantageous. With ARB/E-locker (whatever) and lower gearing, you can go alot of places, and not stress/break the front end. It's a simple, inexpensive mod that gives a huge amount of flexibility.

I am just now getting to it myself, as I didn't have much reason to drop the t-case till now. But since I had to anyway, it was well worth the few $$ and 1 hour to do it.

Personally I prefer the ARB. As was said before, the only ARB failures I've ever seen were poor maintenance. I'm somewhat guilty of this myself, and have never broken/had one fail. I don't like the fact that the entire mechanism of the e-locker is sitting right on the axle housing. I'd be concerned about dunking it in water and shorting it out (I know it's supposed to be sealed, but that can fail too), I also don't like that it can get hit by a rock/tree limb etc and either get knocked off all together, or damage the housing.

I suppose that either selectable locker is fine, just a matter of preference. I would absolutely recommend a selectable in the front. If price is an issue, a luchbox would be good as well. I would not recommend a Detroit or Lincoln in the front.

Just my 2cents

You don't mention what conditions your going to be driving in other than trail rig only. The other thing to consider is that a full time locker sucks in ice/snow. If your planning on doing any driving in those conditions, you certainly want to drop the coin for a selectable.
