20r Parts
« on: Dec 26, 2008, 04:31:18 PM »
Hey guys, my names dustin and i'm new to the site. I just picked up a remanufactured 20r out of the paper for $500 still in crate. Alot of parts off my old, blown 22r fit such as the water pump, oil pan, alternator bracket and all.

I was told BY A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP that my 22r intake would fit on my 20r...
I went through the work of pulling an intake off a very dirty old 22r and cleaned it till i could see myself in it.. just to find out the coolant ports do not line up with the head! very fustrating!  :smack:

Looked everywhere on the internet and called every boneyard in town along with every parts store such as napa, auto zone, and a few local others... NOBODY has a 20r intake.

The only place i have found one is lcengineering... but it's aftermarket and almost $300, would be cool on my shortbed 4x4 but still don't have the income to blow $300 on it.

Does anyone on the forum know where i can find my 20r intake for a alright price.. or does anyone have one laying under there workbench rotting away? I really appreciate any feedback, thanks.

Where are you located?  I probably have one in storage that I could sell.

do you have your 22R  carb??  you can get the adapter from LCengineering to run the 22R carb on the 20R manifold,  its a nice step up in horsepower, also use the 22R exhaust NOT the 20R

I am too!  We can't get them here, which sucks cause I really want the one in my avatar, dpms lr308t I think.  Only thing I'd rather have is a smooth bull barrel.

I have about a 100 22r carbs. thought about buying the adapter. and i also was kinda debating on the weber 32/36 kit with adapter plates and air cleaner for liek $250.

Looks like a am gonna need a 20r valve cover also ( of course!) i'll see if i can find one in the junkyards though

Ya here in south dakota, we can buy a base model ar-15 off the shelf in box for about $850.
AK-47's are going for about $500
Benelli M-4 semi auto 12 guages are even on the shelf!! but for a nice price of about $1000 to $1300
My dad bought me a SKS for christmas. was only $250 with a 10 round clip, synthetic stock, and red dot sights. It's fun for a cheaper assault rifle :beerchug:

any 22R, or 20R valve cover is fine,   if you get a cam with over .450 lift you need to find a 22RE valve cover
