how long is the bed on a long bed before the fender compared to a short bed?

i believe they are the same. the length on a long bed is from the fender to the back.

then they would have the same wheel base.
1st gen shortbed is about 14 1/2" , 1st gen longbed is about 23" so i would say about 8 1/2".

thanx no-idea, wen i put in my chevy springs on i used the stock front perch and moved my wheels back 10 1/2" which now limits my up travel,  so i figured if i get a long bed and bob it in the back it will fit and put my rear wheels back under my fender.

ive thought about it but i extended my frame back to fit the chevy springs and if i moved them forward it would be a waste.
