I have a 92 4runner the other day it just died so I fugured it was a fuse because there was no chugging when it died it just stopped. Well I was right it ended up being the 30A EFI/Ignition fusible link, Well I cant find the problem the engine still turns over and the battery works but as soon as I put a new fuse in it blows. So any suggestions or Ideas would be appreciated thanks.

Thumper

I did the same thing you are talking about on my 95 runner with the 3.0 v6 i was going too run a code check and accidently jumped the wrong 2 things and bam just quit and blew the 30 amp fuse but i just put in a new one and its fine but i would check for loose or broken or stipped wires that could be going too ground sounds like u have a dead short.
Sorry i can help more but someone on here can i bet.
good luck

If you didn't make it, and it ain't broke, you didn't try hard enough.

Marlin

You have a short :help:

Begin by getting a factory service manual and tracing the EFI/Ignition circut.
Do you have an after market alarm? This is a very common problem.

You are going to have to spend time, and find the damn short.

Good luck, Marlin
