Scappoose, Oregon checking in
« on: Aug 22, 2004, 04:53:38 PM »
Hello, my name is Mike, I live in Oregon.  My rig is an '85 Xtra cab pickup. It has 36" IROKs; 5.29 gears; ARB's on both ends; All Pro Hy-Steer; All Pro front 4", 1.5" longer front springs; 63" Chevy rear springs; High Angle CV drivelines; MARLIN CRAWLER MC07 #1772; FROR dual case crossmember; York OBA system; home-brew front and rear tube bumpers; Warn 8274 winch; MARLIN CRAWLER FRONT SHACKLES (VERY NICE); MARLIN CRAWLER WHEELSPACERS; and other stuff I'm forgetting at the moment...lots of mods to do in the future

Here's a pic from the Crusher trails in Tillamook State Forest, last weekend:

Oh yeah.  That run is why I am getting the hell out of here!   Just kidding.  I had already made these plans before I had heard about the Raven run.  Where do you wheel most of the time?

I've been to Reiter once, and I loved it.  That is why I am going back.  I'll give you a heads up when I'm heading up there next.  How is your rig set up?

Mine was stock once upon a time too.  Actually, just less than a year ago!  I had a blast wheeling it when it was stock.  I can really appreciate how well my current set-up is when I have those fresh memories of wheelin' a stocker.

Thanks!  I still have alot of upgrades on the list.  Currently collecting parts for a GM 4.L3/SM465 swap.  I hope to get that done next year.  Next upgrade is a flatbed.

You might wanna post the swap and the flatbet info/pics on the tech section or get a buildup thread :beerchug:
