What is wrong with transfer-case ??

Well~~ my friend austin and  i just finished installed marlin dualcase on his  85 4 runner and went to azusa canyon to test it. First it was work great just the way it said crawl~~
But all of sudden t-case shift lever in nutural position, it stuck soooo bad!!(never had anything like this prior to dualcase install)   we end up call tow truck to  bring our rig to home.  been installed  many dualcases never had this kind of problems.   What went wrong?

Which case went to neutral? The reduction box or the rear case?

My friend use to have trouble with his single transfer case(4.7 gears inside).  It would kick out of 4 low and then he couldn't get it back in untill he drove around a little in 4 high or 2 high.  he hasn't tested it yet with his dual cases we just installed.
