Hollister is fun the first couple times.  There's enough stuff to do for a day trip, anything longer and it could get boring.  But then again, it depends on how built your truck is.  I've found for my lightly modified 4runner (read ifs) a lot of things are too easy or too hard, not much inbetween.  The obstacle course is fun and so is the rock quarry.  There's a bunch of hill climbs and trails to follow.  Oh, and don't even think about trying the big mud pit, you'll end up needing a new engine.

Well, if the ideal of excluding the lesser equipped (stock or otherwise) is accepted... there is no fundamental difference between that and a Sierra CLub ideal of exclusion. If we cannot embrace the 4wheel users as a whole. We are not fighting for access. I cannot be that shortsighted

forget the pits, people will pull you out, but they will also be laughing at you cause the mud will be all iside your rig, trust me. If you got a poser rig forget about going, you'll scratch your :pokinit: up, cause the trals are hella narrow. If you got a beater then it's fair game, no worries. Overall it's a descent place to go for a weekend.
