213-4011 should be the 3 year warranty alt. from Napa.  The lifetime version is 13-4011.  Thats a 65 amp model with 12 o'clock wireing.  You'll also need a VRC148, (if memory serves) thats the connetctor for the main power and turn on lead.  You can make it into a 1 wire by simply running the big red wire from the VRC148 to the charging post on the alt. and leaving the small white wire unhooked.  That will force the alt to not turn on untill about 1500 rpm's then it will turn on automatically.  I always connect the small white wire to a hot while on power so as soon as the truck starts its charging.

and what sbout over charging

I wouldnt worry about overcharging Ive never had any issues and im running a 130 amp alt on my 84.  I cant remember the pn# for the 100 amp version but even the dumbest Napa parts monkey should be able to dig it up easily.

I've got a 130 AMP alt. by NWOR that I could sell you... never been used. Retail was $430, but I would cut you a deal since I probably won't use it.  What year and motor do you have?

For what its worth...

Napa replacement alternators (toyota replacement) NEVER work correctly on toyota vehicles.  I see this every day at work.  Do yourself a favor and go get a Remanufactured Alternator from your local Toyota Dealer...they're usually a little more than NAPA, but they work every time.  Also, if you have an externally regulated alternator, then get a reman regulator from Toyota too.

If your goal is to simply eliminate charging problems, than I'd go that route.  If your goal is to increase amperage, than the GM alternator coversion may be worthwhile.  The direct fit high amp alternators are very spendy!

WT- I'd like to see some pics of your GM alternator setup...

Here ya go. I dont have a gm alt on the 90 as of yet beings the yota part hasnt died yet.  But when it does its history and in goes a chevy.  You are absolutely correct, the yota alts from Napa are JUNK! I went through 8 of them for a customer before I found one that was worth anything!  Also Id change the regulator at the same time as many times the regulator takes out the alternator.

Yes it was but I didnt have to build any custom brackets to mount the alternator that way.
