looks like a pretty clean car!   most of those scratches are pretty minor.     so would you like to try and work out a price/trade deal?    do you have any more questions about my truck?    if you would rather just email me personally so we can work out a price that would be fine with me.  my email is pumkintoy84@hotmail.com

Haha, Yeah if only you were closer and... I had alot more money, lol Then I could afford to bring it out here, and make it street legal & smog-able. I hope that thing finds a good home though, its a sweet truck.

Well i dont think it is going to be finding a new home anytime soon!  i stopped trying to sell it. nobody has any money anyways!  so i brought it home and i have been tinkering with it here and there.  it needed a new tie rod end really bad so i took all of my steering apart, cleaned it up, greased everything and got my rods powdercoated bright orange!!

Yep, and its still 3 god damn hours away, but its worth it.
Its a standard cab short bed w/ dual cases, 5.29's, and lockers f/r.
Not exactly what i was looking for because I wanted the extended cab, or a 4runner...just something with a little more room, but its alright, it will work for now.

But hell, Its a good deal, and I cant wait to get the damn thing. Ive got to wait a couple weeks, which sucks...but..whatever the snows not going anywhere.

Yeah, Ill definentally get some pictures of it once I get it, Ive got to wait because I guess theres a problem with it shifting as smooth as it should be, so the guys going to fix it before he trades me..But anyways Im going to paint it probably a day or two after I have it so ill post some pictures of it as soon as I do it. And Thank you, I know im glad I found something too, I was an idiot for ever getting rid of my 4runner, but god knows where it is now, I heard the poor truck has been traded left and right. Poor thing, It was in good hands with me lol.

yeah i am kind of glad my truck didnt sell because i would probly be kicking myself in the ass right now for being an idiot!!  lol     i'm happy i kept it.   now it kinda sucks because my dad sold his off-road business and i dont have as many resources to work on it at home.  i guess i will just have to save up and get a welder and some other things for home!

Haha yeah, smart to keep it unless I guess you absolutely have to part with it. But man that sucks he sold his buisness, definentally very sweet you got to use it while you did.
Im not even sure whats going on with this truck im supposed to be trading for, Im about to tell the guy to just forget it because he seems a little un reliable. And I dont exactly understand why he'd put something up for sale that he needs to fix in the first place...We will see though. Im still looking around, it'd be sweet if I had the patience to wait around until i found another runner like my old one :crossed:, I just dont know if I can hold out till then lol.

yeah i hate it when people screw you around!   i've had friends that try to sell there rigs before, and they need to do a bunch of work to them before hand.  i dont understand why people do that either.  well hopefully it works out for you!!  it might be worth it to stick it out and find a 4runner that you really want ;)

Im probably going to kick my self in the ass for trading for something I didnt exactly want. But heres a pic of the truck I have originally planned on trading for. The guy was a little flaky at getting back to me this past week (and on fixing whatever problem it has/had), but I got ahold of him today and am going to drive down and get the truck this saturday if it all works as planned and if whatever problem with it is fixed.. I thought id show you a pic of it though soo...Here it is :)

Well..first he thought it was the clutch, so he got a new one, then he thought it was the slave cylinder, and now he hasnt really updated me, he said it doesnt shift as smoothly as it should...But he was going to pull the tranny today and try and see what the problem was then it started raining...Im keeping my fingers crossed hoping its not a big deal...and that he can fix it before this weekend...if not...I think ill pass on it entirely because I dont want something thats not running how it should be, i dont have the time or money to work on something..

yeah i hear you on the time and money part!  although i have been trying to put some time into my truck. just changing and bettering a few things.   my water pump went out on friday when we went wheelin. it was making horrible noises!  luckily it was only 25 bucks for a brand new one.   i got it all torn apart tonight, gonna put the new one on tomorrow.  i got so pissed off trying to get the little 10mm nuts off the fan, that i am thinking about getting an electric fan.  i gotta find out which fan works the best on a yota first.

Sooo.. Now I have a black ext. cab interested in trading for my car, The truck looks pretty nice, Im a little torn because Its got a detroit in the rear&5.29's sitting on 36's While the other(the silver one)...Is probably welded..He says he doesnt know what the lockers are but I guess theyre front and rear, with 5.29's and dual (stock) cases BUT its got whatever problem it has now with the tranny and its got more body damage and a tiny bit of rust, The extra cab has no rust or damage..And the silver one has unknown mileage, but this ext cab has 5000 on a new engine...the downside is it wont pass smog because it needs a smog pump... Haha, What do you think? This truck is also 3 hours away...Heres what this one looks like.. The pictures not that great...but you get the idea..It looks like a sky scraper in some pictures Id probably take the body lift off. Or..just keep like a 2inch bod lift if that.

well i would have to say that i would go for the xtra cab! i absolutely love the xtra cab, they have tons more room and look unique. they are alot less common than a standard cab.  plus you were saying how you would preferrably have something with a little more room, so i would deffinately recommend it because of that.  yes it does look like a skyscraper but that can be fixed easily.

comparing the two trucks and the accessories they have, i would still probly choose the black one.  i would much rather have a detroit in just the rear than possibly having both diffs welded.   you dont know how good it might be welded and you can never know when the welds might fail, and if they fail while cruising down the highway, its most likely going to take out your gears too.  plus a lock right is only about 275.00  buy one and put it in the front and it will be way better than being welded.

so the silver one has duals which is good, but all you have to do is buy a low gear set and install it in the black truck then you will have about the same crawl ratio.

also you dont know the condition of the engine in the silver one, and the guy is flaky, and it has a tranny issue! (not to be confused as a sexual joke! lol)

so here is my final overview....  get the black one, take the body lift off, spend about 675.00 on a front locker and a low gear set for the case and you will end up with a truck that has the room you want, is built better than the silver one, looks nicer (less body damage, plus its an xtra cab so it just looks badass!) and has a brand new engine!  i also dont like the fat boggers on the silver one.  well idk if it helps at all but thats how i look at it!  stick with the xtra cab for the room, you will be happy you did
