Topic: chrome pieces ( grille, windshield surround, etc. )

OK, I have a TAN 87 Xtra Cab with brown interior, and my wheels are black, since the chrome was so rusted, I painted over it. Now, should I paint all the chrome pieces black, or just keep them as is for now?

paint it,

just sand before painting cause paint won't stick to the crome.

  Nay, I left some chrome on mine and I liked the way it turned out.

Y dont you cover all the chrome with blacktape...that way you know how its going to look then decide on that...or post pics

ehhh, too much effort. If I'm going to be putting any tape on, it'll be to mask the body

paint it all black.  my truck will not have a single chrome piece on the truck.  it will either be the red body, or it will be black.  and i mean everything.  including the rs5's that come white.  i hate chrome, i think black is mean

well, I decided to keep the grille & others chrome, since it will be Forest green Metallic.

just pull the door handles tailgate handle etc.  I even pull the window trim from the doors.  I strip the rig down to nothing and all I do is rattle can them most of the time.

yeah, it'll be rattle-can, but you won't be able to tell ( AutoZone has some decent paint  )

forest green and black is one of the sweetest color combinations ever.  that and dark grey.

well, it'll have black wheels, bumpers, etc. so I need a little bit of chrome. If I don't like it, I'll paint it.

My trucks forest green and black...all I need now are the black rims..  rattle can anyone  Ill have to update my avatar...it dosent have the chrome bumpers anymore
