fire restrictions for the roundup?

i've been trying to find out if there are any fire restrictions on camp fires and stoves and what not for the roundup.  the latest thing i found was dated june 8, 2008.  doesn't anyone have some recent info on whether or not campfires will be allowed this year with a permit?

Campfires have never been allowed on the roundup, to my knowledge.  Camp stoves only, not even briquette style grills are allowed, as far as I know

i saw on another website though that the fire restrictions are in full effect.  i'm going to call the forestry office tomorrow and find out.

Rubicon Springs is private property. They do however follow the forest in fire restrictions.

That means no fires. You can and will be asked to leave the property for having one.

There will be a few Designated spots for fires like in Main Camp. If you are in doubt, do not have one.

There is also a forestry service office on I think "Mill Run" or something road which is on the left after Pollock Pines and Fresh Pond.

You can also pick up a Permit the Georgetown Ranger Station

Thanks, but it looks like we'll be stopping on the way up to get one either at the Placerville office or the Pollack Pines office.     The lady on the phone also said a permit could be obtained from a BLM office as well. So maybe I'll try to find a BLM office near home first and save the stopping time on the way up to Tahoe  .

just picked up a permit from the blm office yesterday.  i'm all set now.  two days left!
