22RE to a V6 Tranny...
« on: Aug 02, 2008, 08:14:29 PM »
Heres the dillema.  I have a 93 Runner (super clean) with a blown V6, recently gone through 5 speed tranny, and chain driven case.  All the drivetrain in this thing is in good shape (other than the 3.0 but what's new)...If I was to keep everything and put a 22re in this runner, what bellhousing do I need?  I will be having a spare W56 pretty soon but no spare 4 cyl cases and I didn't really wanna swap out the entire drivetrain anyways.  Discuss...

In order to run the R150 V-6 tranny you will need the bellhousing off a R151 (turbo) tranny (good luck on finding one).

yea what OOPS  said,  BUT  if it was me i would find a 3.4

probably easier to find than the turbo bellhousing
