Topic: 83 pickup front driveline help please!!!

Hi I need a little help finding a front driveline for my 1983 Toyota pickup. I forgot to unlock my hubs a few days back and after the 250 miles I put on at work that day the driveline broke, on the side closest to the transfer case, right before i got home. Its in really bad shape and can't be repaired  so I need to find a replacement. Any help is appreciated. I cant go long without 4wheel drive  !!!

The side closest to the transfer case has a knuckle with 2 Ujoints and that knuckle is completely mangled inside.

That is called a double carden joint or for ease sake a CV. You may want to call Marlins shop to see if he can hook you up. Or you can buy a rebuild kit from for the center bearing from NAPA or this place http://www.rockforddriveline.com/toyota.pdf . Since you have a solid axle truck the CV's are getting harder harder to find. They will go more of an angle then the CV from an IFS rig. Like I said, call Marlin and see if he can hook you up.

I think i have a good used first gen front driveshaft in stock.
All 79 trucks used 9 mm driveshaft bolts, and all 80 to 83 trucks used 8 mm bolts. So you need the second design shaft.
I also recall that i have a factory new shaft in stock as well. Now, all i have to do is find them.....
