Duplicolor? Durabak? Herculiner? Rhino liner?

What are we talking about here?

Hmm, not sure about the spray in stuff.  I used the Durabak and rolled it into mine.  works great.  perhaps it could be thinned and shot?  :dunno:

Yes it can...it should flow through a spray gun but can be thinned with Xylene if needed

I thought so.   I believe I thought about doing it that way but didn't want to mask everything off.  and the landlady at the time would have had a cow.

I have Durabak too and highly recommend it over most other products I have seen (like Herculiner or Duplicolor)

I am going to paint my truck some day with the smooth Durabak using a spray gun. It should work out nicely.

I would bet that would be pretty slick when it gets wet/muddy

I dont know if youve heard of Raptor Liner made by u-pol, but I sprayed it on my cab and turned out nice! You can add any color you want. It comes in a kit, I got it from a local carquest. http://www.tptools.com/p/2600,233_U-Pol-Raptor-Truck-Bed-Liner-Kit.html.

That Raptor liner looks like a good lowcost choice.

Yup... thats why i am painting my whole truck with it so stuff wont stick to it anymore, plus it is very scratch resistant. I am going to use it on the floor and up the back wall of the cab too and use my floormats on it for traction if the stuff does get real slippery when wet. So i will pretty much have a fully durabaked truck.

I think its about 160.00 for the kit with color. It took me two gal to do my cab inside an out. So not too bad on the pocket. I put it on pretty thick too. Its more like line X if youve been around it before. Harder  and smoother. Not as rubbery like Rhino Liner would be.

How did you/did you get the sound insulation(that tar crap) off your floor boards? What a headache! Can you put the liner over it?

I just coated right over the top of that stuff on mine.  I figured it would be extra sound dampening.  It has help up great so far.

If i lived in the desert though I might reconsider.  Don't know how soft that stuff can get when it's truly hot out.  :dunno:
