I was looking at the memorial day weekend pics and i saw a picture of your friends truck i was wondering, HOw much did he bobb it.  I got a shortbed and i want to bobb it but i just dont know how much.

it is.  since me and you both have 1st generation shorties,  look under the bed and youll notice that there is about 6 inches of bed then the frame.  i bent that portion of my bed down cause it isnt supported by the frame.  i want to bobb mine to the frame and i have the bottom portion cutoff and i like how that truck looks.  i was thinking maybe 7-10 inches.

I don't know exactly how much but i think it is about 10 inches give or take.  He just bobbed it to the end of the frame.  When i bobbed mine i cut about 3-4 inches off the frame to were the shackles are.  His shackles were already at the end of the frame.  He used a big peice of angle iron to protect the sides of the bed and the tail lights.  Bolted to the side by 4 bolts.  It has taken some pretty bad hits and not even scratched.
