if your talking about the tar on the floor boards and part of the back wall then the best thing to do is get some dry ice or even normal ice will work and lay it on the floor once the tar gets nice and cold give it some good hits with the hammer and it will brake free, or you can wait till winter time if you live in an area that gets cold and skip the ice all togeather, summer isnt the best time to remove that stuff

For the glue, get in there with some goo gone, or something that will break it down, and start scraping. For the sound deadening mats (like on top of the tranny tunnel), try hitting it with a chisel/flat head screwdriver and a ballpein (sp?) hammer. It'll chip off prietty easy. I've even seen people say that if you directly hit the stuff, it will break aprt from the metal flexing underneath it. On my 86, I just used the hammer and chisel method, and it came out painlessly.
