Topic: Fuel gauge problem

So I know what your thinking. Another feller that didnt search! Um......yea hear me out. Ok, I put a fuel cell in my 82 build. Its this one........http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=RCI%2D2191A&N=700+0&autoview=sku.  Anyway, I hooked up the stock gauge and it doesnt read but a little over a 1/4 tank with it being full. This tank is 90 ohms full and 0 ohms empty. Does anyone know what a 1st gen toyota fuel gauge suppose to take for ohms? Or what the range is on the sending unit for the 1st gen? Maybe I should put my own gauge in. What you all think?

Buy the gauge that matches the sending unit you installed.

um yea.... that. I guess I could, but I would rather keep the oem if I could. If theres no way, then I suppose I could just put one in.
