Paint Code

I'm in the process of restoring a 82 4WD for my dad & he wants it the same color as the one he bought brand new.  Its the blue you see on a few trucks every now & then.  Does anyone have know where I can get a paint code?  Thanks

It should be on the VIN plate in the engine compartment........

The truck we bought is a darker blue, otherwise I would have used that.  From the chart above I'm guessing the 8A1 code is the right blue.  Can anyone else chime in?

I would guess 857 Nordic Blue

Kinda refreshing to hear the word restore for a change, sometimes I cringe at the words chop,hack,bob, be sure to post up lots of progress pics and any sources for restoration parts.
