pivot blocks vs pivot shackles
« on: Jun 11, 2008, 06:50:53 AM »
i want to make my suspension more flexy i like the concept of pivot blocks but i dont want to lift the truck any more than it is so i was thinking of makeing shackles as of right now i have inch and half drop shackles. i could also put stock length shackles in and put the blocks in but thats more work than i want to do
:) nothing worth wheeling other than a YOTA :)

I've run Johnny Joint shackles from Allpro in the past (until I got the pivot blocks).
I'll tell you right now, the pivot blocks will give you more articulation, the shackles wont.
If you are looking for more droop out of the rear, maybe consider a Z-Link, that won't change your ride height.

I haven't had any problems on the street or freeway at 70mph.
BigMike has lockouts on his, there are pictures somewhere...

OK how about this i put the blocks in the rear and put Johny joints all the way around cause i want to replace the rear shackles if i put the blocks in and i might as well put the shackles in the front to get a little bit more flex
:) nothing worth wheeling other than a YOTA :)
