OH CAN I DO EEET
Why call the shop? Its a simple question with a very quick answer. I'd need to take time out of my work day to call the shop.
call the shop
and here's the "simple" answer, -----> Bett's
hope i didn't start a kill fest on this tread! i just wanted to know why trail gear was cheaper and i appreciate all the responses. its makes a lot of sense. i see that you cant order the 5inch marlin lift kit online, are those springs discontinued or should i just call up and order them?
I'm 99% positive that if they were then it would be plastered across the spring section in big ol' red white and blue letters to confirm like all the other stuff that is made in the US.I'm happy with my past purchases from Marlin and I will continue to buy his products even if some are outsourced to stay competitive. If he's deemed them fit to use his name then they're most likely a good product. I'd just like to get an official word on where they're made.
cam011 Didn't know that you were out of State. Sorry.As for the (Go to Hell) statement, it was more of a joke than it was a serious comment. It was said to get a response.It sounds like you havn't been around that long. And that there is some history that you have not been prevy to, regarding TG and Marlin.These two shops are kind of like mortal enemies. Do some searching.You can save a few dollars with TG, but in the long run the Marlins will last much longer. TG has gone out of there way to really piss alot of people off. The only reason they are even still in business is because the make deals with so many other shops to carry there stuff. Alot of people buy TG stuff from other shops and dont even know it.The two companies have alot of items that look similar, but trust me when I say that it ends there.
I will most likely get the MC rears weather they're made in USA, Mexico, China, Zimbabwe etc. as I know a few that run them and are happy with them and the price is more than fair.
That makes NO sense at all. I'm probably gonna buy them no matter what but I want to know from someone that works there that they are USA made...
If you don't have the cash go trail queer. If you naver run marlin you won't know the difference anyway.
It makes perfect sense to me. I'm not from the US, I don't need to support your economy. I have no problem running Chinese or other springs if the quality is there and neither does Betts. Yes, Betts is a simple answer but it still doesn't tell me where they're made.Straight from Betts' website;"In recent years, import leaf springs have emerged as an alternative to domestic manufactured products. Import product is increasingly recognized as a cost effective alternative at an acceptable standard of quality, but many companies are reluctant to engage in import programs due to risk, unfamiliarity and lack of infrastructure. Betts has developed and qualified high quality import sources for high quantity applications where the economies of import supply become important. We coordinate design, production, testing and distribution as value add services for our customers." http://www.bettsspring.com/leaf.php
