Not saying im gonig to im just wondering if i was to convert my 22RE to propane will it still be able to pass DEQ/SMOG in oregon? and i have heard that if you run propane it will not lube your vaulves cause its a dry gas then you valves will take a :: on you. is that true.

Oregon doesn't regulate vehicle emissions.  Only if your vehicle is smoking badly enough to impair the vision of other drivers.

really? i thought they did. when i went through DEQ last year they put a deal over my tail pipe to check emissions

Well, I guess from what I just heard that the Portland/ Metro area does do a testing when you renew your registration and your license.  So if your vehicle doesn't pass inspection they impound your vehicle and sell it for parts.     Sucks that Oregon has finally started to do this but I guess it is inevitable.  As for the propane setup, I have heard it is all in how you adjust the settings of the injectors and timing, best bet would be to call them and find out.

WTF??  Is it only in K-falls and/or Jackson county?  I have never had to do this with my truck since I have owned it and I live in GP.

Oregon has a law any vehicle over 20 years old does not have to do smog testing. i had to do it with my blazer in Medford. the DMV required the pass to renew my tags and change over the title.
