Hi there,

I just traded my 33in swamper radials for a near new set of 36in swamper radials. I like the swampers but really want a set ot MTR's in a 35 or even 37inch 9 maybe a trade?). I know that they do well on the road and awesome in the dirt. Just wanted to see what everone else is runnig on their rigs. I drive my yota everyday and wheel it almost every weekend.

The 36" radials are a decent tire.  Just wait till you get another set of swampers, they will eat those radials for lunch!  On the datsun I had in HS i bought a set of 32x10.5 tsl radials, at the same time a buddy bought 36x12.5 radials and mine were the same pattern and lug size as bias tsl's.  The 36" have smaller lugs and tighter spacing.  The 33" radials are the worst the lugs damned near touch!
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

2 weeks now on my 37 MTR's & I love them other than they rub a ton more then my 35's, Sawzall time I guess! My spedo is right on now too,  I can actually hit 90mph on flat land with engine to spare :driving:

Let us know how he likes them, A Guy I know works at les schwab and put a set of 36 iroks on his x-cab toy and they are wearing out extremely fast. Work great offroad though.

Mtrs are made by Goodyear and thats what they're called. I've got a set of 35s on my Dodge (yota's getting 36" Iroks) and love them. They wear quicker than I thought they would on the street though.
Size doesn't matter... yet.

A good friend will bail you out, but your best friend will be sitting next to you saying "that was f---ing awesome."

Oh ok yes I know those...the Wrangler M/T's or something like that....I know of these good tires and I have not single post about em....their the Mickey Thompson Baja Claw...they do well in mud, dirt, sand, rocks, pretty much everything  :twocents:

I have heard different things about the Baja Claw.  I heard that for their wear on road compared to the performance off-road isn't worth the sacrifice.

So far I kike the 36 in Radials, I am going to sipe them on friday, and they match the 5.29 gears on the highway, so no complaints as of yet. I will wheel it this weekend as soon as my longfields get in today  :ladys-man:

The bias TSL's due have larger lugs and are wider. And since I don't drive my rig on the road as much as I thought I would. I will probably get some bias next time

im running uniroyal laredo M/T's and those things are killer when they are aired down.  sidewall is a little thicker than a superswamper and i never popped a bead.  and i aired down to 7 psi.
ah the beauty of a cuttin torch

Oh I like the looks of the Laredo tires man

So no pics of the MTR's?

Another vote for BFG's. Side walss are weak compaired to the TSL's but nice on the road. They wear awsome. Last set I ran for 5 years and had about 30k on them under a HEAVY K5. I sold them to another guy who put another 20k on them.
Reasonably quite for a mud. Did reasonably well off road till you pinch the side wall. The only thing I don't like about the muds is not particualry great on light snow, ice and wet streets. I ran a seto of BFG AT's on another truck and they were awsome on the street but never wheeled them hard. Little bit of sand dunes was it. Did great for anything street.

I'm concidering a set off 33KO's as next set. I do a lot of street and not much trail. The Toy is supose to searv as DD and wheeler. Last truck go too trail biased and it was not decent for DD any more. I know a few folks that are doing pretty good with them on the trails I have around here. If it doesn't work out then I'll get some "trail tires" and swap.

I got 37" Krawlers and they are good all around street and whelin i would say try to get some of those. Theres my  :twocents:

No complaints on my 37" MTR's. I drive to and through the trail with em. They are badly cupped with about 400 miles on em but I must have something out of alignment - they still drive fine though.
