20r 22r hybrid question

i was wanting to get some info on what parts are needed to do this. also what is the advantages of doing this over a 22r rebuild. any cheap power tricks would also be great thanks

welcome to the site, please do a search. this topic has been covered numerous times. this is a very cheap and easy power mod, it is a good power mod

I have to agree with jim.  This subject has been pretty much driven into the ground here and there are many, many threads to be found through a simple search  :thumbs:  I have one in my truck and it was a nice improvement over the stock setup.

the older 22r block have the DISH-style pistons, later ones have a normal -flat type pistons....The later ones will interfere with the valves.Start with the right pistons...

use the 80-84 pistons in a 80-84 block
