I believe it's traditional that the person who starts a picture thread...actually posts some pictures. Kind of like a savings account, you have to put some money in for other money to appear.

A few weeks ago I started my ruf

I had the front axle on stands & raised it up to move the axle forward. The axle was balanced on the floor jack & I used my hands to pick up the left hub & slide the jack stand forward. While I was moving the axle it fell off the floor jack slamming down onto the jack stand. No big deal except that my middle finger on my left hand some how got caught between the axle & the jack stand. I was wearing mechanix gloves & pull my hand out. The glove stood caught between the axle & stand along with the tip of my finger & the finger nail. Ended up in the ER of course.

You didn't hurt the axle did you?

Feels like I hit it with a hammer so yeah it hurts. I didn't end up loosing as much as I thought. The bone at the tip of my finger was fractured so they trimmed it. Then pull what was left of the tip up & stitched it back together.

This is more a whoops on a few a$$es that couldn't respect the rules of the trail. I did write a litte story about it a few years ago on ToyotaOffRoad.com, but couldn't find it. So here's the short version.

About five years ago during a trip on the Rubicon some guys (about 19-22 years old) decided to drive off the trail which, as most of you know is all Forestry and privately own land, and you're not allowed to go off the trail cuz of that reason. And now cuz of a$$es like these it's getting even more strict. Anyhow to make a long story short while they were off hiking down over a hill side me and my buddy went out and removed the "distributor" rotor from their rig. We then radio the Forest Rangers and waited for them to show up. As we waited they guys showed back up and we got to watch a good show of the kids trying to get their rig started and getting mad cuz it wouldn't. When then Forest officers finally arrived (little over an hour) on foot, I handed them the rotor so they could give it back to the kid that owned the truck.

Cry? Not me. I had to be strong cause my kids were

big time when they saw the blood dripping. I had to show them that I was going to be ok so they would calm down.
