If you worry about them they will break, if you do not worry about them they will not.

I wheeled for many years with stock axles and never broke one. I did strip the splines off one once when I broke the cage on a stock Birf getting it in the Box on the Con.

My stock birfields survived a Truetrac on the rocks in Moab so you should be fine.  It really depends on your driving style.  I'm very easy on stuff, but I still go the hard places.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Moab Tested & Rubicon Approved

Stock truck with open front?  I wouldn't worry about breaking axles.

Which Marfield did you get?  05's, or 06's?
