As far as io have heard, there isn't a lot of changing or modifying your rear suspension, they should set eyelet to eyelet. You'll get great flex out of em, but make sure you get the 63's out of the same truck or they'll have a different "droop" to em

What do you mean by 3/4 rear? 3/4 ton? I'd just use the 63's out of a 1/2 ton if that's the case. They should flex better then the heavier rate of the 3/4 tons, plus the 1/2 tons are probably easier to find at a salvage yeard or anywhere else for that matter. The 63's in the back of my 97 K1500 flex like mad (they're only limited by the shocks which are a longer stroke than the normal 4" springs). I have a 4" lift on it, and my 48" hi-lift cannot get the weight off the rear tire at full heigth. In order to change a rear tire I have to chain the axle to the frame to limit the travel. The front IFS is another story.. lol.

you still need to relocate your spring hangers and shackle mounts to run them with the axle in the oe location....

I used the 3/4 ton springs and took out like 5 leafs to turn the pack in to a 3 leaf + overload pack.

Not many mods needed.... spring hangers, shackle mounts, and with the amount of travel you will get i would do a shock tower and run some longer shocks. You may also want to run LONG steel-braided brake line(s).  Ill see if i can come up with some pics for ya
Build it, Break it, Build it again...STRONGER

Even though the pirate 63 swap FAQ has everything you need to know, here is where I relocated the rear hanger for the 63s. I wanted to use my stock shackle mount and utilize a double shackle set up using a stock 4wd chevy shackle and a 6" toyota shackle.

This is where I mounted the chevy spring hanger (per the Pirate FAQ)

Leaves the centerpin in the perfect spot

Double shackles drooped out

Ride height (full weight on the springs)

And finally where I relocated the shock mounts (upper and lower)

Sorry to dig up an old thread but do your double shackles ever go the opposite direction? im guessing the shape dosent let them do that.  I like that setup.  I'm suprised i havent seen that before.  I used to have buggy leafs but when i went to 36" tires i had to take them off cause the plates holding them on were gouging my tires.

Never had an inverted shackle in 3 some years running this set up (rubicon and fordyce tested), using the stock chevy 4wd shackle helps I think. Even at full droop it still keeps an angle on the shackle/shackle connection point where it can't bend back the other way. I have hung my rear tires feet off the ground and never had them invert.

This is the best pic I could find. It was mostly the chevys and the 6" shackle doing the work, The chevy 4x4 shackle had not even left the frame yet.

so if i run a marlin front spring mount, and 5" springs how do i get the same amount or lift out of my 63" springs, do i just make taller frame mounts on the front of the 63?

No, that will create a massive rock anchor. If thats an issue you run either a longer shackle or some put small 1" lift blocks on.

You'll get great flex out of em,

I disagree.  I had them in my Taco, and they didn't flex any better than stock.  They rode better and were a cheap alternative to a new set of leafs, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone that has more than $45 to spend on a set of leafs.
